From B2B Sales to Building Vroq Studio

Before founding Vroq Studio, Abhisar Singh worked B2B sales and development at Brainium. Here's why that combination changes how Vroq builds for clients.

Most web design agencies are run by designers or developers. A few are run by marketers. Very few are run by someone who’s done both B2B sales and development for the same company, at the same time, for the same product.

I have. At Brainium Information Technologies, I worked both sides — selling to businesses and building the software they were buying. That’s an unusual combination, and it’s the reason Vroq Studio is built the way it is.

What sales teaches you that development doesn’t

Developers optimize for clean code and correct implementation. Salespeople optimize for one thing: does the person on the other end of the call actually want this, and will they say yes. Those are different instincts, and most technical founders only have one of them.

Selling B2B software forces you to sit across from a business owner and explain, in plain language, why something matters to their revenue — not their tech stack. You learn fast that nobody buys “SEO” or “a website.” They buy customers finding them, trusting them, and choosing them. If you can’t connect the feature to that outcome, the sale doesn’t happen.

What development teaches you that sales doesn’t

Sales without the ability to build honestly is just promises. I’ve sat in rooms where a sales team oversold a timeline or a capability that the dev team then had to somehow deliver. Being the person who does both means I can’t oversell anything — I’m the one who has to build it.

That discipline shows up in how Vroq works today: real 7-to-14-day timelines depending on scope, no invented case studies, no promises I can’t personally execute.

Why this matters for how Vroq builds

Every Vroq project gets built by someone who has actually sat across from a business owner and understood what they’re really asking for — not just what they typed into a brief. That’s the difference between a website built to spec and a system built to convert.

A website built by someone who’s only ever coded looks correct. A website built by someone who’s also sold looks like it wants something from the visitor — because it does.

If you want a system built by someone who understands both the code and the conversion, see what Vroq builds, or tell me about your business.
